Description & Requirements

Supply Chain Development Executive

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Development Executive will be the link between the factory and external stakeholders driving projects (Supply Chain and Operations projects- Marketing- R&D and Supply Chain Development). The employee should be able to design a repeatable process to manage the implementation of external projects from a factory perspective. These will include activities like scoping- project monitoring- risk identification and mitigation- manage RIROs- simulate scenarios and initiate Notes of Discontinuation (NODs).

This person will lead and initiate projects from within the factory aimed at improving overall efficiency- like volume growth- complexity reduction and value engineering- having as scope materials- ingredients and finished goods.

Supervised by:

Planning and Logistics Manager

Working Conditions

  • 40 hours per week/8 hours daily/5 days pers week
  • Works overtime as required
  • Work is indoors in an open office. Occasionally required to enter production floor- warehouse and production facilities.
  • When accessing production floor- the employee will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment:  safety glasses- slip resistant shoes- ear plugs.


  • Manage new production introduction into the Telford factory.
  • Takes proactive measurements to ensure volume growth for the factory.
  • Grows Telford production volume in a controlled and structured manor.
  • Looks for opportunities to make projects ‘WIN-WIN’ – where the external initiator gets a benefit as well as the Telford site.
  • Becomes the internal gatekeeper for externally initiated projects in Telford.
  • Manages all project implementation in Telford: Value Engineering- Growth- Artwork Changes- Regulatory Changes.
  • Is the face of Telford in all external communication with Supply Chain Development- Marketing- & R&D.
  • Single point of contact for all inflow of information from external stakeholders and all outflows of information.
  • Improve response time to stakeholders.
  • Manages the implementation steps with all internal Telford functions.
  • Manages communication about changes and project implementation.
  • Develops robust trial protocols and validates trial success or failure.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce complexity in product portfolio and material portfolio.
  • Promote and protect the reputation of Telford outside of the factory walls.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase production efficiency by modifying material specifications.

Other requirements:

  • Analytical thinking.
  • MS Excel- PowerPoint and Word experienced user.
  • Production background- preferably in the food sector.
  • Planning Knowledge.
  • Project Management knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and PP (preferable).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in FMCGs (preferable)
