Description & Requirements

Role / Title

  • This role ensures effective implementation and execution of the Kraft Heinz Copack Quality Management System across 12-17 assigned co-pack and/or re-pack facilities. The position provides visible quality leadership ensuring that Kraft Heinz Copack Quality Manual are understood and met through on-site assessments.  This position works closely with the business units to provide successful commercialization of new products at copackers. This position also audits copackers and is responsible for corrective action and continuous improvement. Travel required 50-75%. Candidate must be able to travel independently- ability to drive a vehicle- and located near a major airport.

Key Components of the role

  • Lead development and Implementation of an integrated supplier quality management strategy
    • Conduct on-site Quality Improvement Meetings and Audits at  assigned copackers
    • Review copacker HACCP plans  for compliance to Kraft Heinz Copack manual
    • Engage Procurement and Business partners to align on overall annual business goals for category
    • Support commercialization activities
    • Monitor complaints for assigned copackers and drive continuous improvement
    • Monitor- track and report progress against copack quality goals to key stakeholders (i.e. R&D Leads- Quality and Procurement Directors- etc.)

  • Build organizational capacity and monitor Food Safety events across the supply chain
    • Implement Essential Rules (required food safety standards) at copackers
    • Support copack related special situations fact finding and resolution.  Ensure resolution of chronic and/or serious supplier quality issues and develop programs and strategies to prevent future issues

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Food Science- Animal Science- Microbiology or other related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in food or CPG- with plant quality experience
  • Experience in or working with Research & Development
  • Food safety and regulatory requirements
  • Copacker expectations in Food Safety- Regulatory and Quality
  • Fundamental statistics (DMAIC Process/DFSS/Lean/Metrology/MSA/Sampling Procedures)
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and policies- HACCP- and ISO/GFSI systems
  • Understanding of the procurement processes
  • Lean Six Sigma to support Supplier Integration preferred
  • Fluent in French is preferred
