Description & Requirements

Senior Analyst- Trade - Coffee

  • Own financial analysis of pricing and promotional related efforts for assigned product categories
  • Create analysis/insights for trade promotions optimization and influence BU cross-functional teams in executing the promotions strategies - requires a high degree of business acumen and experience to independently do the analysis- put together the decks- and sell stories to BU sales- BU marketing and BU finance.
  • Maintain trade earn model- and partner with BU marketing and BU sales to determine trade earned by category by retailer
  • Co-own annual operational plan (AOP) trade cascade model- partner with BU sales and BU Category finance to cascade trade fund budget to customer teams and provide Area Director of Finance (ADF) with visibility on drivers.
  • Lead monthly over-budget requests through partnership with BU sales and BU finance; independently analyze the requests and provide recommendations to BU Head of Sales and BU CFO.
  • Own trade funding in Compass HTP system- and coordinate with sales team and customer teams to ensure it accurately reflects committed funding to customer teams.
  • Lead monthly pre-attestation process through partnership with Area Director of Finance (ADF)- Revenue Management Execution- and BU sales teams.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field required
  • 2+ years of experience as a finance analyst required
  • Solid experience in financial planning/analysis- financial reporting
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Excel with ability to quickly learn analytical modeling tools and techniques
  • Solid PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
  • Must be a strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions- and able to work collaboratively with all management levels within the company
  • Experience with syndicated data from providers like IRI and Nielsen in a retail or CPG setting preferred
