Description & Requirements

The Senior Accountant- M&A is critical to the proper accounting and reporting for acquisitions- divestitures- and other complex transactions. This role is responsible for conducting technical accounting research- analyzing data- and forming and documenting conclusions related transaction accounting topics to inform management decision-making. In addition- the Senior Accountant- M&A- will prepare monthly journal entries and quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures to ensure complete and accurate accounting and reporting of relevant complex transactions. In this role- you will assist with purchase accounting- carve-outs- and execution of integration and separation plans. Your ability the understand the flow of financial information through all systems and collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external specialists will be critical to your success in this role.

This is an exciting role in an elite accounting team that will be providing unique insights to deliver on strategic vision of the organization.  The ideal candidate for this role must be team focused- highly analytical and detail oriented- as well as being proactive in dealing with multiple functions within the business. Deal or valuation experience is a bonus.  This role will provide a high degree of visibility and must be a productive business partner.

Key Components of the role:

  • Assessing proper accounting and reporting for M&A transactions;
  • Preparing disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings;
  • Working with external auditors and consultants;
  • Assisting on integration and carve-out plans for acquisitions and divestitures;
  • Collaborating across our global organization to execute such plans; and
  • Conducting special projects- as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and  CPA preferred;
  • Three years of experience;
  • Public accounting experience- with an emphasis in SEC engagements;
  • Strong work-ethic and drive to learn;
  • Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Proven analytical- teamwork- and leadership skills; and
  • Ability to work efficiently and achieve results- while maintaining high quality.
