Description & Requirements

Purpose of role: 
Provide leadership and manage Quality and Food Safety issues arising from any stage of our on-site processes as determined by risk. Ensuring the production of all finished products complies with legislation- QRMP- KHMS and other policies. omplies with 
The jobholder must display a positive enthusiasm and demonstrate a real drive to make pragmatic- informed- timely Food Safety and Quality decisions that support the site whilst protecting the Heinz Brand. 

Key Accountabilities:
•    Ensure all finished product leaving Heinz control is of the correct standard by effective management of Finished product from Quarantines and Incidents.
•    Provide Problem solving skills to ensure root causes of incidents are understood and introduce preventative actions to ensure issues are not repeated
•    Identify and communicate Top Losses for each centre / area for RFT- Cost of Quality and Complaints- ensuring appropriate improvement plans are in place 
•    Play a key role in maintaining- developing and improving systems to comply with requirements of external bodies (BRC- Soil Association- EHO- TSO). 
•    Reduce operational risk by identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen current practices and ways of working.

•    An ability to lead a team to ensure continuous Improvement thinking to deliver effective change
•    Positive ‘Can do’ attitude with a strong desire and ability to make a difference- 
•    Effective proven communication and influencing skills.
•    Good Analytical and problem solving skills
•    Familiarity with Quality management systems and tools- BRC-HACCP-QRMP-Internal Audit techniques. 
•    Degree in a science discipline or Significant food industry experience preferred 
•    Working knowledge of SAP preferred
