Description & Requirements

About the role:

Kraft Heinz is looking for someone to undertake the packaging research and development of new and existing products and processes- with a specific focus on Value Engineering to enable the company to meet its commercial- marketing and production objectives. Role can be based in either Melbourne or Auckland and is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and lead packaging related projects for the purpose of NPD- Cost Reduction- quality or process improvement
  • Assist the business in identifying and supporting Value Engineering opportunities by working with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Deliver projects right first time on time with effective project management.
  • Packaging design which meets the company’s obligations to the Australian Packaging Covenant and the New Zealand Packaging Stewardship scheme where practical
  • Specification and associated documentation development and control.
  • Support Head of R&D as key link to packaging suppliers and to keep abreast of developments in industry and marketplace.
  • Ensure Heinz in at forefront on innovative packaging solutions- maximising profit from new and improved packaging.

About you:

  • Degree in Science- Technology or Engineering
  • Qualification in Packaging Technology
  • Experience in an FMCG company in a packaging or technical related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal- verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously to resolve problems and improve systems.
