Work Schedule:

1st Shift: 4:00AM- 12:30PM

Plant & Community Overview:
• Number of employees: 70
• Shifts: 1

Responsibilities & Duties:

•    Assists during daily pre-operational inspections in Hot and Cold room lines.
•    At pre-ops- conducts equipment testing (ATP/micro) and follow up with corrective actions as necessary
•    Daily collection of Cold Room finished goods to perform micro testing. 
•    Check equipment conditions and calibrate: lab instruments- thermometers- etc.
•    Manages Pathogen Environmental Monitoring Program (Listeria & Salmonella testing)
•    Perform Allergen Validation Testing
•    Daily review of microbiological results and communicates them to QA Management/USDA as required
•    Check lab equipment conditions and ensures calibration is done on a timely manner
•    Performs Quarterly Proficiency Testing as scheduled by Micro Corporate
•    Checks and maintains lab inventory on a monthly basis
•    Enforce procedures- policies and controls to assure all products are prepared according to USDA standards
•    Will adhere to the QRMP principles and are committed to delivering to their assigned standard(s) requirements.
•    Conduct Performance Monitoring activities as scheduled.

•    Education in one or more of the following fields: Food Science- Quality- Microbiology- Biology- or Chemistry. 
•    An understanding of HACCP and its programs.
•    Not required- but preferred: ServSafe’s Certificate in Food Handling
•    Perform duties with minimum supervision and ability to work with other team members.
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules- instructions- policies and procedures manuals.
•    Some experience in food service and laboratory work.
