Media & Digital Manager- Northern Europe

About the Position

The Northern Europe business is looking for a Media & Digital Manager to develop and execute media strategies and roadmaps to drive business growth. The role sits within the Northern Europe Marketing team- reporting directly to the Marketing Director. You’ll be working in with a diverse team across the various countries- brands and categories.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive excellence in media and digital; driving effectiveness and efficiency and setting a clear strategy for digital and social to rollout and support across the marketing teams.

In summary:

  • Lead how brands in the Northern European business connect with consumers through media and digital
  • Bring together the total picture across brands- categories and channels
  • Unlock media and digital capability with playbooks- tools and partnerships
  • Design and own routines with marketing team- ensuring effective implementation of strategies and collaboration
  • Support the business with strategic initiatives in media and digital to fuel business growth and drive the digital transformation agenda

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive best in class media and digital expertise across the business; working with Marketing leads to support their planning by category and portfolio
  • Leverage deep understanding of communications and media- creating strategies for improved planning and activation
  • Leverage digital knowledge to connect brand planning and communication efforts to eCommerce performance
  • Drive the measurement and learning agenda for digital and media
  • Drive the agenda on collecting data and leveraging insights for reapplication
  • In partnership with Marketing leadership team and agencies- develop and effectively implement playbooks and drive governance
  • Collaborate with brands on web and social initiatives- monitoring metrics and proposing optimizations
  • Drive quality of briefs- feedback and overall annual planning cycle across teams for media
  • Identify opportunities and trends within the media landscape- especially within digital and including test and learn
  • Key partner for media- digital and social agencies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders - the International zone team- Global Media- E-commerce team
  • Design and own routines with the marketing team- ensuring effective implementation of media & digital strategies


  • 6+ Years’ experience managing media (either with an agency or client-side) is required
  • Cross-channel experience is preferred (Digital- TV- print- OOH- radio- etc.) with strong media fundamentals but knowledge in the digital space is the most important
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills- ability to simplify and connect with people
  • Strong collaborator and influencer
  • Passionate about inspiring and driving change
  • Organized and able to handle several projects concurrently. 
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies and applications
  • Deep knowledge of global digital platforms. Working knowledge of emerging platforms a plus
  • Business acumen: ability to operate in a wider commercial environment with stakeholders of varying levels
