About the role

Kraft Heinz Australia and New Zealand are undergoing a BIG transformation – we’ve completely changed how we structure our portfolios to ensure long term- profitable growth. As a result- we’re hiring for a Head of Portfolio to drive the success of our Beverages and Revenue Growth Management portfolios based out of Melbourne.

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy- this role has full strategic and operational responsibility for the portfolio - effectively like running your own business unit! You’ll own the P&L and develop a strong- driven team of 4 – 8 Managers and/or Analysts by providing a clear vision and thought leadership across Category- Revenue Management and Finance.

Working closely with the Managing Director- CFO and Marketing Directors- you will be responsible for the general management of the categories in the portfolio- including:

  • Creating in-depth 3-5 year strategic and category plans
  • Owning the annual operating plan and delivery
  • Providing analytically based recommendations that are translated into business results
  • Making day to day decisions to ensure sustainable revenues and profits
  • Managing and controlling the monthly- quarterly and annual business cycles for the business unit

About you

  • 10+ years working experience in marketing- category and/or revenue management functions (FMCG experience is highly advantageous)
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (MBA is highly advantageous)
  • Positive thought leader- with demonstrated experience leading and developing a team towards a clear vision through a significant period of change
  • Ability to think strategically- assess complex situations and translate this into measurable recommendations for executive management
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to enables decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and sell recommendations internally
  • Customer facing experience to sell plans to customers
  • Systems knowledge in the following is advantageous – Nielsen- BPCS- SAP- Regression Analysis- Market Track- Promotion evaluation tool- Store Layout software such as Spaceman or Apollo
