Electrician

The purpose of this role is to maintain the Cool-Whip unit's equipment and systems in accordance with KraftHeinz Avon standards to deliver the highest level of quality products to our consumers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Installs and repairs electrical systems- apparatus- and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery- equipment and supports the general maintenance function by performing the following duties.
  • In the performance of work- the incumbent is required to comply with local- state- federal safety rules and regulations and the safety policies and procedures of Kraft Heinz Avon.
  • Manage all PMs and Repairs tasks associated with equipment.
  • Assist and lead troubleshooting of PLCs and control issues on the floor.
  • Assist in Managing the training and development of the electricians in area of troubleshooting and PLC issues.
  • Help support plant requests as a result of DMS or DDS meetings.
  • Execute and adhere to Management of Change process with requests or changes as needed.
  • Identifies training needs and established technical expertise within the Business Division.
  • With the assistance of the engineering department- helps in development and implementation of capital projects.
  • Assumes a leadership role in identifying possible improvements projects.
  • Responsible for directing preventive/predictive maintenance programs designed to reduced unscheduled downtime (maximize equipment availability) downtime (maximize equipment availability extend equipment life- and optimize utilization of people and resources).
  • Supports and promotes future efforts to effectively introduce and implement maintenance redesign initiatives.
  • Programing addition/adjustments.
  • Update program backups for automation.
  • Plan and scope wiring requirements.
  • Able to work in a self-directed fashion without significant supervisory support / direction.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

Benefits & Compensation Overview:

Up to $28.04/hour- plus:

o   A $.30 shift differential for those who working on second.

o   A $.40 shift differential for those who working on third shift.

Minimum Qualifications
 

  • Formal training or proven experience in electrical technology with experience in calibration

 and instrumentation.

  • Capable of performing electrical / electronic troubleshooting and repair on plant equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge / ability to perform routine machining and parts fabrication and repair.
  • Thorough knowledge / ability Acetylene / Plasma cutting- as well as Heliarc / stick welding.
  • Thorough understanding and ability to read / understand machine prints- schematics.
  • Knowledgeable practices in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Performs calibrations on all Toppings instrumentation.
  • Proficient in the use of hand- power tools and instruments pertinent to the job.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of PLC operation- logic and troubleshooting.
  • Capable of developing / updating and modifying PLC programs.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of motor control circuitry.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of “Sequence of operation” of equipment and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Proficient in Instrumentation systems operation- troubleshooting- calibration and repair (electronic / pneumatic).
  • Proficient in reading diagrams- prints and schematics pertinent to the electronic field.
  • Formal training or proven experience in electrical technology with experience in calibration and instrumentation
  • Troubleshooting- repair- rebuild- operation and maintenance of equipment within the area of responsibility.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to walk- stand and sit for the duration of a shift
  • Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching to both ground level and overhead
  • Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift
  • Lift up to up to 50 pounds independently- and heavier weights with assistance
  • Holds and grips objects
  • Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment- as well as an office or classroom setting

Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment- disassemble and reassemble equipment- operate a computer and other standard office equipment
